Length of sessions:
Psychological assessment usually takes place over the course of several sessions depending on the referral question, age and ability level of the client, and other factors. The total face-to-face time involved in an individual assessment typically ranges from 4-8 hours for testing and clinical interviews. Several hours are then spent on test scoring and interpretation, collateral contacts, record review, and report writing. Unless special arrangements are made, court related services take place at Dr. Warren’s office.
Note to Attorneys:
Your help will be important in arranging psychological evaluation in a timely manner so that reports are completed in time to prepare for court. Sometimes counsel (or the court) will attempt to place restrictions or conditions on evaluation, such as time limits, limits on topics of inquiry, or requiring the presence of other parties. Please do not agree to any such restrictions or conditions, or fail to oppose them in court, without consulting with Dr. Warren, as such restrictions or conditions can significantly impair the validity or effectiveness of test results and/or professional opinions. Before naming her as an evaluator, please consult Dr. Warren for availability and other considerations.
